This privacy policy aims to give you information on how personal data is collected through your use of this website.

When you message me via my Contact page, I will not use your details other than to reply to your query. If you submit a website form requesting a book excerpt and to be contacted in future about forthcoming books and promotions, the only personal details I collect are the name and email address that you enter on the form. I store these offline, protected by up-to-date anti-virus software. You can ask at any time to be removed from my contacts list.

Please note that I do not share your personal data with outside parties.

This website is hosted by Squarespace, which collects and analyses anonymised data about how visitors interact with the site - for example, number of visitors, which pages have been visited, browser and device types, etc. Such analytics data is useful for me to assess the general performance of my site. As part of this process, cookies (small text files) may be transferred to your computer or mobile, a standard practice with many websites and apps. Analytics data do not identify you personally.

My website does not host third-party advertising. You will not see ads appearing based on your previous web usage.

This website includes some links to third-party websites, clearly marked as such. I am not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party websites. When you click through to an external site such as Amazon they may serve you content and advertisements, collect information from you, and place or recognise cookies on your browser. Such cookies are essential to enable you to purchase from any online store. Please note that button links from my site to Amazon are non-affiliate, meaning that I do not earn any commission from purchases you may subsequently make on the Amazon website, nor does Amazon reveal to me who has made such purchases.

I do of course receive royalties on sales of my own books on Amazon, though purchasers remain anonymous to me.
